I wonder at times if painting is a visual form of poetry or should it be more like a novella or even an epic tale. Maybe a little of both.
Then again... perhaps painting is no more than a worn out paperback dictionary or a tattered dime-store thesaurus. The potential for poetry is inside the pages but it takes work to gather these parts (whether words or paint) and assemble them into a cleverly crafted vessel for floating ideas others might find interesting or useful.
